1991

26-19

A 90’s kind of team. Sexual equality at last, with Linda Wareham, the team’s
first female Co-Queen, leading the co-rec team to its highest finish ever in
the league tournament (3rd in the “A” bracket) and a tie for fourth during the
regular season (9-3; 14-9 overall.) The men’s team, deciding that worse is
better, discards its macho trappings, slides down to Class D and breaks .500
for the first time (6-4; 12-10 overall.) Serious injuries take their toll yet
the teams plays and wins a record number of games. Unofficial team record:two triple plays in one week (4-3-3–men’s; l-2-5-l-U-l-6–Chalk Talkers.)
Andy McPhail leads Arne’s Army to the coveted Wick. Hope for the future: Pups
sweep. Team Theory: “Hydraulics make the man.”
