The first week of the regular season starts with a bang. A double-header (games at 5:45 and 7:00) on Tuesday and a 5:45 game on Thursday.
The schedule of who is playing in each game can be seen by clicking on the link on the left side of this page under SCHEDULES/ROSTERS where it says “click here for latest.”
After you find out when you’re playing, be sure to check out the multi-media and team history links at the top of this page. Lots of fun images and information.

P.S. There will be a special prize at Thursday’s chalk talk for anyone who is present at all three of next week’s games and both chalk talks.

I’ve added a new “Multimedia” page to hold videos, slideshows and the like. Right now you’ll find videos from the 2006 league tourney and the 2006 Pups/Farts game. Enjoy.

It looks like rain, so there will NO practice this Tuesday.
We will practice Thursday at Battle Creek (NOT RIVERSIDE), starting at 6:15.

Phew! After digging around in the virtual recycling bin that was the database from the old site, I managed to drag out The Historian’s rock-solid recollections of seasons past. There’s still some work to do to make some of the years readable, but most of it’s intact and available via the links in the sidebar and on the Team History page.
They say that those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. We may still be doomed, but not for lack of memory.

All bilware.net sites, including the MPR Softball site, suffered a tragic collapse a few months ago when I inadvertently disconnected the site manager from the database that held all the content. Turns out that’s bad. Oops.
I’ve revived this site with software that I think will make it easier to maintain, especially by Jim Bickal and others who wish to contribute. And, eventually, I think I’ll be able to get the team history and all the other fun stuff posted here again.
