Tournament triumphs and male bonding. Bouyed by a bumper crop of rookies, theco-rec team (17-9) finishes first (5-0) in the Goodwill Media tournament and
fourth (4-2) in the Sportsclub tourney. Rewards:^ world’s largest traveling
trophy; first para-medic patient (J. Johnson.) Male bonding effort comes
unglued: first entry in Class C City League finishes 4-7. Highlights: first
unassisted triple play (Rothman, May 24) ; one-armed J. Johnson comes off the
DL to lead Old Farts to victory (series tied 2-2-1.) Team Bar: DeGidio’s.
Team Downfall: The Inning From Hell.
